Can I change plans later?

Yes! Upgrades can be done instantly with prorated billing for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades require you to cancel your current subscription first (which converts you to the free tier), then purchase the lower-tier plan.

How do I manage my billing and subscription?

Click your username in the top-right corner and select "Manage Billing". This opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can update your payment method, view invoices, and manage your subscription settings securely.

What are the two ways to cancel my subscription?

⚠️ Important: Before canceling with either method, we strongly recommend exporting your cellar via CSV from your bottles page to preserve your collection data.

Option 1: Via Stripe Portal (End at billing period end) - Click "Manage Billing" from your profile menu. In the Stripe portal, click "Cancel Subscription" to schedule cancellation at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep full access until then and receive a confirmation email.

Option 2: Cancel Immediately Button - In your profile dropdown, click "Cancel Immediately" for instant cancellation. Your subscription ends right away, you're immediately downgraded to the free tier, and any bottles over the free limit (10) are automatically deleted. Use this only if you want to stop immediately.

Key difference: Stripe portal = keep access until period ends. Cancel Immediately = lose access right now.

How do I downgrade my subscription?

We're here to help make this easy! To downgrade, simply cancel your current subscription first (your account will revert to the free tier), then purchase your desired plan. Important tip: If you're on a paid tier, we recommend exporting your cellar via CSV before downgrading to preserve your full collection data. You can find the export option in your bottles page.

How do I cancel my account completely?

We're sorry to see you go! To cancel your account: first cancel your paid subscription (if you have one), then once your account returns to the free tier, click on your username in the top right and select "Cancel Membership". Remember: This will permanently delete your account and all your bottles, so please export your collection first if you'd like to keep a backup!
